The laptop doesn't charge, charges only at a certain cable angle, the port is loose or the system doesn't recognise the charger at all – the cause can be the port, but also the cable, the power adapter, the battery or the power circuits. On a MacBook Pro 14" M3 Pro / M3 Max (A2992) we first rule out the simpler causes and only then repair the port itself. Depending on the model, this means replacing a soldered connector or a separate board with the ports. After the repair we test charging and data transfer on all ports.
